PROGRAMA DE CONECTIVIDAD ASEQUIBLE

El Programa de Conectividad Asequible (ACP) es un programa del gobierno de EE. UU. administrado por la Comisión Federal de Comunicaciones (FCC) para ayudar a los hogares de bajos ingresos a pagar el servicio de Internet y los dispositivos conectados, como una computadora portátil o una tableta.

Si su hogar es elegible, podría recibir:

  • Hasta $30 de descuento al mes en tu servicio de Internet

  • Hasta un descuento de $75 al mes si su hogar se encuentra en tierras tribales que califican

  • Un descuento único de hasta $100 para una computadora portátil, tableta o computadora de escritorio (con un copago de más de $10 pero menos de $50)

  • Un plan de servicios de bajo costo que puede estar totalmente cubierto a través de la ACP*

Federal regulation restricts the ACP benefit to 1 per household. A household is eligible for the Program if they meet at least one (1) of the following:

  1. Based on Household Income (200% or less than the Federal Poverty Guidelines)

  2. If you or your child or dependent participate in certain government assistance programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, or other programs

  3. If you or anyone in your household already receives a Lifeline benefit

Eligible Federal or Tribal assistance programs include:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps

  • Medicaid

  • Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA) (including Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program (Section 8 Vouchers), Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA)/202/811, Public Housing, and Affordable Housing Programs for American Indians, Alaska Natives or Native Hawaiians)

  • Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit

  • Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program, including at U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Community Eligibility Provision schools

  • Received a Federal Pell Grant in the current award year

  • Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance

  • Head Start (only households meeting the income qualifying standard)

  • Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF)

  • Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations
